Sutton Coldfield has some of the most varied housing stock in the West Midlands, which means plumbing problems vary enormously between streets. Around the Parade, Anchorage Road and the conservation areas bordering Sutton Park you find large Edwardian and Victorian properties, many of which still have original cast-iron stacks, lead rising mains or early copper pipework that has started to pinhole after decades of service. Further out towards Reddicap Heath and Falcon Lodge the stock becomes mostly 1950s and 60s semis with back-boilers that have been converted at various points, often leaving awkward pipe runs in airing cupboards.

Older properties near Four Oaks and Mere Green sometimes still have sections of lead supply pipe between the stop tap and the kitchen, which we can replace in MDPE as part of a wider refit.
