Fully designed bathrooms with full project management, premium fixtures and one team from start to finish.
A bathroom installation is the job where most things can go wrong on a domestic project — multiple trades, long lead times on fittings and very little room for error once the tiles go down. J.Avery Plumbing & Heating takes the whole project on as a single point of contact, from initial design through to the final silicone bead, so you're not managing plumbers, tilers, electricians and plasterers yourself.
We plan every bathroom in detail up front so you can see exactly how the finished room will work before committing. That means testing layout options, checking tile patterns and making changes on paper rather than on site. Once the design is signed off, we supply premium fixtures from manufacturers we trust — or fit client-supplied items if you've already chosen them — and manage every trade involved so the project runs on schedule.
Our scope covers complete strip-outs, first-fix plumbing and electrics, plastering, floor and wall tiling, fitting of suites, showers, screens and furniture, sealing, second-fix and final commissioning. Wet rooms, walk-in showers, traditional suites and compact en-suites are all work we do regularly. Every job is fully managed by J.Avery personally, with clear weekly communication, a fixed written quote, dust sheets and floor protection throughout, and a proper clean before we hand over. Our 5.0 Google rating and 9.97/10 Checkatrade score are largely driven by bathroom customers, because in this trade, project management is as important as the craftsmanship.
How we deliver your bathroom design & installation.
We visit to measure up, understand how you use the space and talk through style, storage and any accessibility needs. No hard sell — just a proper conversation.
You receive a detailed plan of the proposed layout, including tile choices and fixtures. We refine it together until you're happy.
A fully itemised quote breaks down suite, labour, tiling and extras, along with a start date and week-by-week schedule.
We protect floors and routes through the house, strip the old bathroom back to studwork where needed, and carry out first-fix plumbing and electrics.
Walls and floors are tiled to the agreed design, the suite and shower are fitted, and all sealing, grouting and finishing work is carried out to a high standard.
Everything is tested, adjusted and cleaned before handover. You get aftercare advice on sealant, grout and how to keep the new bathroom looking its best.
The questions our customers most often ask.
A typical full family bathroom takes around two weeks from strip-out to final clean. Wet rooms and larger en-suite-plus-bathroom projects can take three weeks or longer. We give a firm week-by-week schedule in the quote.
Either works. We can supply suites, showers, taps and tiles from manufacturers we trust, or install items you've chosen yourself — we'll check specifications before ordering to avoid any nasty surprises on fitting day.
Yes. Every project includes a detailed design stage so you can see the finished room, adjust layouts and compare tile options before any money changes hands or materials are ordered.
Yes. We manage every trade involved — plumbing, tiling, electrics, plastering and decoration — as a single project. You deal with us, we deal with everyone else.
In most cases, yes. We check floor structure, drainage and waterproofing during the design stage. If a conventional walk-in shower is a better fit for your property we'll say so honestly.
If it's your only bathroom, realistically yes, though we try to keep the disruption to the shortest window possible by ordering fixtures in advance and sequencing trades tightly. Many customers make use of an en-suite or cloakroom during the works.
Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed and all fixtures carry their own manufacturer warranties. If anything isn't right after handover, we come back and put it right.
