J.Avery Plumbing & Heating

Boiler Installation in the West Midlands

Worcester Bosch and Baxi accredited boiler installations across the West Midlands with warranties up to 12 years.

A new boiler is one of the biggest investments you'll make in your home, which is why J.Avery Plumbing & Heating treats every installation as a tailored piece of work rather than a box-shifting exercise. As Worcester Bosch and Baxi accredited installers, we can specify the correct boiler for your property, your hot water demand and your budget, and register extended manufacturer warranties of up to 12 years that simply aren't available through non-accredited fitters.

With 22 years of experience and a Gas Safe registration we keep current, we handle combi, system and regular boiler swaps, back-boiler conversions, fuel type changes and full relocations. Every quote is fixed and written down before any work begins — no day-rate surprises, no vague 'extras' added at the end. We carry out a proper survey first, talk you through the options honestly, and only recommend an upgrade in flue, gas supply or pipework if it's genuinely needed to meet current Building Regulations.

Our work is backed by 40 five-star Google reviews and a 9.97/10 score across 168 Checkatrade reviews, which we think says more about our standards than any sales pitch. On installation day we protect your floors, keep the site tidy, commission the boiler properly, register the warranty and Gas Safe notification on your behalf, and walk you through the controls before we leave. If you ever have a question afterwards, you can pick up the phone and speak to the person who did the work.

Our Process

How we deliver your boiler installation.

  1. 1

    Free Home Survey

We visit your property to assess your existing system, hot water demand, radiator count and gas supply. This lets us recommend the right boiler rather than guessing from a phone call.

  2. 2

    Fixed Written Quote

You receive a clear, itemised quote covering the boiler, parts, labour and any necessary upgrades. The price is fixed — what we quote is what you pay.

  3. 3

    Installation Day

We arrive on time, protect your floors and furniture, drain the system safely and carry out the swap. Most straightforward combi-for-combi installs are completed in a single day.

  4. 4

    Commissioning & Testing

Every boiler is commissioned to manufacturer specification, gas-tested, flue-tested and balanced across your radiators so the whole system runs efficiently from day one.

  5. 5

    Registration & Handover

We register your Gas Safe Building Regs notification and the manufacturer warranty on your behalf, then show you how to use the controls and bleed radiators.

  6. 6

    Aftercare

You get our direct number for any questions, plus a reminder when your first annual service is due to keep that long warranty valid.

FAQs

Boiler Installation FAQs

The questions our customers most often ask.

How much does a new boiler cost?

+

A straightforward combi swap typically starts from around the £2,000 mark, while system and regular boiler installations with additional pipework or flue runs cost more. We give every customer a fixed written quote after a free survey — no deposit required to get a price.

How long does a boiler installation take?

+

A like-for-like combi swap is usually a one-day job. Conversions (for example, converting from a regular boiler to a combi) or boiler relocations typically take two to three days depending on pipework and electrical changes.

What is the difference between a combi, system and regular boiler?

+

A combi heats water on demand with no tank, which suits smaller homes and single bathrooms. A system boiler uses a hot water cylinder and is better for homes with two or more bathrooms. A regular (heat-only) boiler uses both a cylinder and a loft feed tank and is common in older properties.

Do I really get a 12-year warranty?

+

Yes — because we are Worcester Bosch and Baxi accredited, we can register extended warranties of up to 12 years on qualifying boilers. The only condition is an annual service, which protects the warranty and keeps the boiler running efficiently.

Do I need a power flush before a new boiler?

+

Not always, but most manufacturers require the system to be clean for the warranty to be valid. We inspect the existing water and radiators during the survey and recommend a power flush or chemical flush only if it's genuinely needed.

Will you remove my old boiler?

+

Yes. Removal, safe disposal and recycling of the old boiler and any redundant tanks or cylinders is included in the quoted price. You won't be left with anything to get rid of.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

+

Yes, we are fully Gas Safe registered and our engineer ID can be verified on the Gas Safe Register. We also notify Building Control of every installation, so your paperwork is in order if you sell the house.
